Support for those with Challenging Behaviours

Health issues that affect the brain can sometimes lead to what we call challenging behaviours. It often takes a physical form that can present risks to not only the individual but also those around them such as their family and friends. Unfortunately it can mean a poorer quality of life by stopping them from receiving necessary medical care or social activities. These factors may require that the individual will need on going support in their everyday life.

Our dedicated Intensive Support Team provides agency staff that help people with challenging behaviours, like aggression. We work closely with local authorities, social services and care providers to support their services with care staff on both a temporary and emergency basis.

We’re here to lend a helping a hand

Our phone lines are open 24/7 so that we can help you as soon as possible, ensuring that the people in your care continue to receive reliable and quality support. As an independent agency, we’re able to respond to any emergencies or staff shortages quickly and efficiently. Before placing any of our support workers or healthcare assistants we’ll work with you closely to understand the individuals needs and the level of support required. Once we have all the information and your happy with the services we suggest, we’ll provide you with a qualified and experienced member of the team.

After making a booking we want you to feel confident in your choice. Our team will send you a profile sheet for each member of staff you hire. Within the profile sheet you’ll find all their important details, like their passport photo (so you know what they look like), training, qualifications and of course for your peace of mind their DBS checks. We always ask our staff to carry photo ID so that you know who they are.

Working with leaders in care

The Intensive Support Team service is specifically designed to support individuals with challenging behaviours. We’ve used our own collective experience in care to continually enhance the services we provide since our launch. South Coast Support was set up using the expertise of care managers, support works and service users who understand what it means to offer reliable, trustworthy and quality care. As our list of clients has continued to grow we’ve been able to develop services to suit the needs of the people they support.

We can provide healthcare professionals trained in a range of support services specifically for people with challenging behaviours or profound learning disabilities. These services include RPI, de-escalation, positive behavioural support and communication methods. Our work has led to us collaborate with some of the UK’s leading autism support services. In fact, we’re often their first choice for providing agency staff on regular basis.

Support when you need it

Our aim is to provide the people in your care with reliable support whether temporary or full time. We believe that consistency in an individual’s care is key to maintaining their physical and mental wellbeing. Where possible we’ll aim to maintain this through our staffing solutions, helping to ensure that your services remain uninterrupted. Whether living at home or in residential care our specialist team will safely support the people in your care helping them to maintain a fulfilling life.

We understand that it’s important you can rely on our agency staff and trust that they’ll do a great job.
